Zayed University has partnered with Al Fardan Exchange to train 100 Emirati
Zayed University (ZU) has partnered with Al Fardan Exchange to offer free online training to 100 Emirati students and alumni in anti-money laundering, identifying counterfeit currency, and risk management.
The agreement was signed on October 3, 2021, at the Zayed University Abu Dhabi campus by Hasan Fardan Al Fardan, Chief Executive Officer – Al Fardan Exchange, and Hassan Al Najjar, Member of the Zayed University Council and Founder of In focus Media.
According to the agreement, Zayed University will nominate Emirati students to join the Al Fardan Exchange programme as part of the UAE’s Projects for the Next 50 Years initiative to introduce new plans, including strategies to encourage more Emiratis to work in the private sector rather than the public sector, where the vast majority work.
Hassan Al Najjar, a member of the Zayed University Council and founder of In focus Media, stated: “Today’s banks and exchange houses will undoubtedly need to modify their operational models in the near future, especially with the emergence of FinTech (Financial technology), which is technology and innovation that competes with traditional financial methods in the delivery of financial services. And with such an emerging industry that leverages technology to enhance financial activities, we are striving to equip students and graduates to become adaptive pioneers for the sector’s future.”
Additionally, he stated, “Universities are critical in motivating graduates to choose private sector positions over public sector jobs and in encouraging them to embark on their own entrepreneurial adventure.” Through these collaborations and partnerships, we can educate students about the possibilities and opportunities available to them when they enter a more dynamic industry, which will undoubtedly enhance their overall abilities and experiences and, ultimately, the UAE’s economic development.”
Hasan Fardan Al Fardan, CEO of Al Fardan Exchange, stated: “At Al Fardan Exchange, we are fully committed to assisting our nation’s wise leadership in achieving the UAE’s Emiratisation aspirations. As a 100% Emirati-owned company, we firmly believe in this strategic objective to accelerate nationalization throughout our dear country. At Al Fardan Exchange, we have already begun the process of hiring and training UAE citizens in all departments, with an emphasis on developing specialized skills that will benefit candidates throughout their careers.”
Evidently, our board of directors has established expectations at all levels of the organization to ensure the rigor and depth of our training and development programmes with the goal of creating a generation capable of assuming leadership roles within our organization and the broader financial services industry.
I am delighted that we are collaborating with Zayed University on another initiative that will strengthen Al Fardan Exchange’s role in achieving the country’s Emiratisation goals. This effort will also assist students in determining their preferred professional aspirations while developing their competencies.”
“Our Chairman, Mr Fardan Al Fardan, has consistently emphasized the critical nature of our Emiratisation programmes and individual schemes that develop Emirati talent and future leaders,” he continued.
